These balls are quite magical and hypnotic to look at. They're made of a misty plastic and have slow timers inside that change the colors of the balls. So they slowly fade from green to blue, red, purple, yellow, etc. creating an out of this world feeling. There's nothing practical about them except that they create a wonderful atmosphere and are truly mesmerizing to look at. They work on three small, flat lithium batteries which to our experience, last quite a long time.
