These shoes were originally designed in Phuket about seven years ago. We decided they had a great look about them and felt sure that people would love them. We have sold quite a few and fortunately we were right, because it seems those who buy them, get quite a kick out of wearing them. People are always commenting about them. Even though they look as if they could be uncomfortable, they actually aren't. I wouldn't go jogging in them and I wouldn't suggest you try and push a stalled bus with them. They are NOT your regular flops and should NOT be overly abused in any way. Treat them well and you will enjoy them for a long while! It boils down to this: these are statement shoes so if it's a reaction you're after then Thugs are undoubtedly the way to go.
